I had the pleasure of recently shooting a family beach photography session with the adorable six-year-old Moxie and her loving parents. It was a perfect day, the sun was casting such beautiful soft light, and the sand and sea provided the perfect backdrop for capturing some unforgettable memories.
Moxie was a bundle of energy and spunk from the moment we started. She was playful and free-spirited, and her parents were happy to let her take center stage. They were clearly proud of their little girl, and it was heartwarming to see them interact with her.
The light that day was absolutely stunning, which made my job even easier. We were able to capture some truly magical moments of this family, with Moxie modeling perfectly throughout the shoot. At times, she even added a little bit of “extra” to the photos, which made them all the more memorable.
As the session came to a close, I couldn't help but reflect on the importance of documenting your child at this age. Six years old is such a special time in a child's life. They are at the cusp of starting school, making new friends, and discovering new things about the world around them.
It's a time of growth and transformation, and it's important to capture these moments before they slip away. As parents, we often get caught up in the hustle and bustle of everyday life, and we forget to slow down and cherish these fleeting days.
Family photography is so important. It allows us to freeze time, if only for a moment, and capture the beauty of our families as they are right now. As a Myrtle Beach family photographer, I am so honored to be tasked with such a job.
